Andrea began dancing at the age of three. She enrolled with GDDS at the age of four and became a member of DANCE est Joie, Inc. where she competed in numerous competitions. She performed in Western Arkansas Ballet’s “The Nutcracker” for 13 years, dancing the lead role of “Clara” for two years. Andrea was a member of the Northeastern State University Pom Squad in 1999-2000 and the Ballet/Modern group, GoVertigo Dance Company. She attended The University of Oklahoma where she auditioned and was accepted into the Ballet Pedagogy program under the direction of Mary Margaret Holt. Andrea has had experience in many various styles of dance throughout all of her dance career. She attended Antelope Valley Ballet, Lorraine Cranford Summer Intensives, and the Regional Dance America in Corpus Christi, Texas. Andrea attended Oklahoma City University’s Summer Teacher’s Seminar, is a Certified Progressing Ballet Technique Instructor, trained at Broadway Dance Center and attended their Teacher Workshop at Gibney Dance in New York City. Andrea is very passionate in applying the anatomy, strength, and stretch of each dancer, equalling balance and foundation. She is currently working on her National Academy Of Sports Medicine – CPT program, becoming a National Academy Of Sports Medicine Nutrition Specialist, and a Certified bodyArt Educator. She is an endurance ultra runner – who has completed 50 and 100 mile trail runs, and attended LT100 Run Camp in Leadville, CO. Andrea is the mother of Zurri, who is a third year member of DANCE est Joie,Inc.
