Maeli McMahen

Maeli began dancing at Grayce DeWitt Dance Studio at the age of 2. At the age of 7, she joined DANCE est Joie, the studio’s competition team. Maeli became a class assistant at the age of 12, and began teaching at the age of 17 during her senior year of high school. Her 16 years with GDDS, 11 of those spent participating with DEJ, allowed her to train with many industry dance professionals such as Barry Youngblood, Annie Gratton, Justin Giles, Kathryn McCormick, and more. Maeli is currently at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with a specialization in Contemporary. With the Lindenwood University Dance Program, she has trained in various dance styles and performed works set by faculty and students in all three concerts of the 2023-2024 academic year. For the LUDP’s Spring Concert, she was selected to perform a work by guest artist Renee Kester. Maeli is so excited to be back with her GDDS family and can’t wait to see everyone’s smiling faces!
