Pre-Company 2026-2027 Auditions
Auditions for 2026-2027 DANCE est Joie, Inc. will take place on Friday, May 29th, 2026. All audition events will take place in person at Grayce DeWitt Dance Studio. A new requirement for auditioning is attendance at an information meeting by the dancer’s parent or guardian to learn more about our upcoming season, expectations, attendance requirements, costs, schedule and more. Auditioning dancers are welcome to attend.

Monday, May 4th at 6:15pm | Thursday, May 7th at 6:00pm | Tuesday, May 26th at 6:45pm
Required Audition Preparation Classes: Tuesday, May 26th
*4:30pm – 6:30pm (dancers ages 8-11) | *6:45pm – 8:45pm (dancers ages 12-14) | *6:45pm – 8:45pm (dancers ages 15+)
*Audition group is based off of the dancer’s age as of January 1st, 2027. The audition group does not determine the group they will perform with throughout the season. Dancers will be grouped into competition dances based on their audition performances. Dancers who are currently dance company members (not pre-company) who are younger than 8 years old will still be allowed to audition. Dancers will learn two combinations for their audition.
The cost of the preparation class and audition is $25.00 per dancer. Acceptable payment methods are listed below.

Open Studio Opportunity:
Wednesday, May 27th
4:00pm – 7:00pm • Drop in open studio opportunity for dancers auditioning for the 2026-2027 DANCE est Joie, Inc. Competition Team. Dancers are welcome to utilize the studios at GDDS for their audition preparations. A GDDS representative will be present to oversee this event, but will not be providing instruction, feedback or assistance to dancers. Dancers are not required to attend our open studio event.

Audition times will be announced at a later date.
Additional information for the audition will be required by Google Form. Audition routines are property of DANCE est Joie, Inc. and Grayce DeWitt Dance Studio. This choreography may be utilized for competition routines and performances. Formal auditions are closed to guests and observers.
Choreography Week
Choreography week is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, July 30th through Thursday, August 6th. In addition, we are thrilled to welcome Derrick Schrader to GDDS as a guest choreographer this summer! He is booked and busy, meaning that we were not able to book him during our choreography week, but dancers assigned to his routine should expect to meet on July 21st and/or 22nd.
DANCE est Joie, Inc. Pre-Company 2026-2027 Auditions
A preliminary audition for pre-company will occur on Wednesday, May 27th at 6:00pm. DANCE est Joie, Inc. An additional audition will take place in August. This group is for dancer’s ages 4-8 years old. Audition age is based on the dancer’s age as of January 1st, 2027. A new requirement for auditioning is attendance at an information meeting by the dancer’s parent or guardian to learn more about our upcoming season, expectations, attendance requirements, costs, schedule and more. Auditioning dancers are welcome to attend.
