Alexa Vera
Alexa began dancing at Grayce DeWitt Dance Studio at 2 years old and danced at various dance studios for 14 years total, competitively dancing for many of those years. She ended up back where she started at Grayce DeWitt Dance Studio where she took classes for 2 more years and was part of Dance est Joie. Alexa started pageants with Our Diamond Miss at 6 weeks old and competed until she was 18 holding many national titles. She started competitive cheerleading at the age of 6, later cheering for the Poteau Bandits and then through middle school. In high school, she joined the varsity Pom team as a freshman, later joining the varsity cheer team from sophomore to senior year. After graduating from Poteau High School, she began working in the office at the studio and teaches classes as well. She attends college at UAFS where she cheered for 2 years winning a championship with her team at NCA Collegiate Nationals in 2022. She currently co-directs youth cheer for Poteau as well as coaching girls for Our Diamond Miss pageants. Alexa has completed her associates degree and will graduate in 2025 with her bachelor’s degree in education.
